How your cold seas and yachting matches? Can you tell us a bit about the enthusiasm of the northern seas which is almost unknown by the rest of the World?
The “cold seas” of the north the North Atlantic, the Norwegian Sea, the Baltic, have always carried a special reputation. Unlike the Mediterranean or Caribbean, where yachting is tied to sunlit leisure, the northern seas demand endurance, seamanship, and a taste for challenge. In return you get breath taking scenery exploring Islands, Fjords, Canals and Archipelagos. Sailors in these waters love their seas precisely because they are cold, remote, and not widely known by the rest of the world. It’s a quieter, more austere passion but for those who have felt the spray of the northern seas, the bond is deep and lifelong.
